About Me.
I am an accredited social worker and couple and family therapist with the Ordre des Travailleurs Sociaux et Thérapeutes Conjugaux et Familiaux du Quebec (OTSTCFQ). I also am an accredited psychotherapist and have a psychotherapy permit from the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec (OPQ). I have a bachelors degree and masters degree in social work and a masters degree in science (applied) couples and family therapy from McGill University.
I established my private practice in 2019 and I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In addition to my private practice, I have been working in the health and social service network since 2009 and have experience working in youth protection, addictions services, and youth mental health. I have also worked with clients of a variety of different cultures, religions and socio-economic status.

My Therapeutic Approach.
I use an integrative approach where I base my therapeutic interventions on the needs, goals and interests of each client. All therapeutic interventions that I use are evidence based where research has proven the interventions to be effective. These approaches include systemic-based therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and attachment-based therapy. I take on a systemic focus with all my clients where I believe that every person is affected and influenced by their environment and also impacts and influences those around them. I consider how external and internal factors are impacting the client's experience (i.e. oppression, discrimination, culture, religion, values, beliefs, etc.). I also use a trauma-informed lens. This means that I take into consideration how experiences in the past may be impacting the client in their current situation. I then work with the client to address the impact that past trauma may be having on the present challenges they are facing. I also focus on the clients strengths. I believe that every person has agency over their own life and has the ability to address whatever situation they are facing when they have adequate support. When working with children, I often integrate creative therapy modalities including play, art and drama.
